With a little help from my friends.
Christy Eriksson at that Sunset Farm shoot last month. Yes, keen eyed photographers will notice she is shooting with a Nikon and has a Canon on her shoulder. She mostly shoots Canon but was trying out the Nikon D700 with a Nikkor 135mm f/2 AF DC portrait lens from Hawaii Photo Rental and judging by her smile I think she likes the lens. We may have a conversion!
Christy helped me out with a wedding a week or so ago. I didn’t make it easy for her, not only made her only shoot B&W film (!!) but also gave her a Nikon F3HP with MD-4 (you think the Mark IV is heavy, HA) and get this, a meterless, batteryless Nikon F2 that’s way older than she is. Oh, and no motor on that one so she had to use her thumb to wind the film!! She actually did well at the wedding, and her experience is what I will cover in my workshop on shooting weddings with film.
I shot this with the Nikon D3s and the legendary Nikkor 300mm f/2 ED-IF.
